Brendan founded Libertas Financial Corporation; he serves as the firm's CEO and approves all capital commitments made by the firm. Brendan is an experienced advisor of and investor in small and mid-sized companies. Before founding Libertas, Brendan identified and evaluated investment opportunities on behalf of H.I.G. Capital, a leading private equity fund. He focused on growth driven investments in business services, healthcare and technology firms, partnering with his colleagues to execute investments in RevShare (a cost-per-action TV advertising firm), Suniva (a producer of high efficiency PV solar cells) and Nexidia (a provider of audio and video search technology).

Brendan started his career at Lehman Brothers, an investment bank now owned by Barclays Plc. As a member of the Global Finance Solutions Group, he developed valuation analyses, performed due diligence, analyzed strategic issues and structured financial solutions for clients in the Financial Services, Transportation and Energy markets. Brendan also assisted in the execution of investments in wind energy projects in New York, Washington and Ontario and geothermal energy projects in Nevada.
